Pee Pee in the Potty

About 2 years ago, I blogged about Cruz peeing in the potty for the first time.  Now it's Whitney's turn!

For a little background information, because of our recent gym memberships that gives us a access to some nice pools, we've been going a lot.  A whole lot.  Plus, the kids have their weekly swim class.

The result?  Poor Whitney developed a pretty nasty diaper rash.  So in an effort to promote healing, we've been letting her run around without a diaper between diaper changes.

We also recently pulled out the potty chair again (since Cruz now goes exclusively in the toilet).  So in an effort to kill two birds with one stone we've been encouraging Whitney to sit down on the toilet and hopefully pee.

It all came to fruition two nights ago. I was in the midst of a marathon singing/knee slapping session to entertain Whitney while she sat.  Next thing you know, a little trickle of pee comes out.  Yay!  Success!  Of course, it'll probably still be sometime before she truly is potty trained.  But I feel like we're off to a great start.
