High And Dry

Way back when I made a blog entry about potty training.  Well, today Cruz finally graduated to being a big boy and not wearing diapers to his pre-school.

Truth be told, he was probably ready months ago because for a while he has been going diaper free on the weekends.

But at pre-school he kept wearing diapers and the teachers kept telling us that he wasn't ready.  They would frequently ask him if he wanted to go potty and he'd say "no thank you."  They tried shortening the interval between diaper changes, hoping to catch him dry and then prompting him to go in the toilet, but most of the time it was wet.

Then, Sue and Cruz went to his school over the weekend to help clean the school.  It being the weekend, he went in his underwear.  So the teachers got to observe Cruz stop what he was doing and go to Sue to ask for help in going to the bathroom.

I guess he figures if he has a diaper, might as well use it. 

But today we sent him without any underwear and he came back wearing the same clothes!  In other words, he was fine going pee on his own.

I'm a big boy now!

Yay! (And by yay, I mean yay I'm saving $$$ by not having to spend as much on diapers).  Now, we just have to get him to stay dry overnight...
