Beach Boy

We live on the West Coast but have barely taken Cruz to the beach. In fact up until recently Cruz has been to an East Coast "beach" just as many times as a West Coast one (once each). And to date, while Cruz has technically taken a dip into the Atlantic, he hasn't in the Pacific.

Thanks to Sue this past weekend, Cruz now has been to a West Coast beach one more time at least.

Sue and Cruz went to Natural Bridges State Beach with his friend Solomon and Solly's mom.

At first the two were both just staring at the waves coming in, but eventually they started playing with the sand and toys that the mommies brought. Cruz was having such a good time that he cried when it was time to leave.

The next two pictures are a pairing of Cruz' latest excursion to the beach, and his first one when he was less than 6 months old.

And lastly here's Cruz, not so much on the beach but actually in the water when we visited friends at Cape Cod last year.

We look forward to when he'll take a dip in the Pacific. Maybe next year...
