Jumpy House

Anyone who has spent a day with Cruz will attest to the fact that the boy loves to jump. While he is by no means fearless, he does enjoy jumping down from ledges and steps if you're holding his hands. Our bed is one large tumbling mat for him, much to our chagrin. And one of his favorite books is even called Jump!

So when we went to a birthday party and had the opportunity to use a jumpy house, Sue and I knew that Cruz would love it. To him this was like our mattress on steroids and luckily all of the kids were about his age so we didn't have to worry about Cruz getting run over.


He loved doing sit jumps and even tried to twist his body around on the rebounds. Many of the other parents suggested that he take gymnastics classes. As it turns out, he's already enrolled in two!


He absolutely loved his time in there, to the point where we were worried about a meltdown when we would have to leave. Luckily he went out without a fight.

Perhaps we have a budding gymnast in our midst.
