It's hard to believe that just a year ago, Cruz entered our lives. It's amazing how much he's changed.
When he was first born, he slept all the time only to wake to feed and cry when he need his diaper changed. He was so skinny and seemed to be "all limbs."
By one month of age he plumped up. He also began to cry more and more, reaching a peak around 12 weeks of age.
By the time he turned three months old, his personality had already begun to show:
Next thing you know, he's rolling over on his own and we're starting solids on him. The sixth month mark came so quickly:
Now he's a year old. Technically no longer and infant and now a toddler, watching him develop has been such a treat. Most recently Cruz is starting to walk (video coming soon), says "mama" and "dada" and means it. He has also more than tripled his body weight and grown over 12 inches in just a year.

ReplyDeleteDearest Cruz, Happy, Happy 1st Birthday!!! We love watching you growing up by looking at your pictures here! It seems that each time we look, and see a new picture, you are already bigger! Sometimes you look like Daddy, sometimes you look like Mommy, and that is perfect because that means you are a very good looking boy, very handsome! We are your grandparents that live far away but we love you just as much as we would if we lived next door to you and we want you to remember that as each year passes and you grow older. One day you will recognize us on Skype when we are talking to you, that will be a wonderful day!!! Each day we ask God to take care of you and provide you with good health and much happiness. We know that Mommy and Daddy will take the BEST care of you and that makes us happy. They love you very much and we know that it will always be that way! Seeing your picture at 1 week old and now at 1 year makes me wonder at the miracle that is Life. I know you don't know us and you've never seen us, but your titos and titas here in the Philippines really care about you and check out your blog from time to time. It's great to see that you've grown to be such a wonderful and healthy boy. I pray that God will continue to smile on you and your parents, and send plenty of blessings along your way! Always be a good boy and obey your parents and grandparents (although I don't think you can understand that concept just yet :D) I hope that we can meet soon :)
