Guess Who's a Big Brother Now...

Cruz, of course! Today at 3:40 am Sue gave birth to our daughter, Whitney Elise Cortez. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 19 1/2 inches long. Much like with Cruz, Sue only had to push a few times (five this time, versus two last time) and then out she came.

We chose Whitney as her first name as an homage to Sue's parents. Whitney is the name of the street that Sue grew up on.

Cruz met his little sister 7 or so hours after her birth. He was quite excited to see us, as well as her. He took to her quite nicely, probably because she "gave him" a toy firetruck as a gift for accepting her into the family.


Expect some changes to the blog, such as a new name. Don't worry. When we come up with the new name, we'll link it here to the new one.
