Cruz was a little skeptical at first. For a while he flat out refused to wear the costume (and we're still trying to convince him to wear the boots). He seemed happy to just wrap a blanket around him, only to say "Boo!" Most likely this was inspired by his favorite Halloween book, Spookier Than a Ghost.
Fortunately, Sue had the foresight to make his costume completely in white. By relabelling his costume as an eskimo ghost and with the help of some strategically borrowed books about eskimos, we were able to convince him to wear his costume this past Saturday for his music class and a costume birthday party.
And while he hasn't quite gotten the knack for saying "Trick or Treat" at least Cruz has the whole "Boo!" thing down.
