Cruz' hair has been getting long. Sue has been wanting to get it cut for a while, but I've been resistant, thinking that little kids can pull off almost any type of hair style. But as you can see, it was getting a bit unwieldy and was even worse when he went outside with the slightest hint of breeze. Then his cowlick would leave long strands trailing in the wind.
On Tuesday, Sue and I both found ourselves with the day off and decided to give Cruz his inaugural haircut. It's obvious that at first he wasn't too pleased with the idea. Chiefly, he didn't like sitting alone in the chair.
But once he got to sit on mom's lap, and with the help of some animated distractions provided by a strategically placed television, he became compliant.
And thus viola! Cruz after his first haircut. The place even gave us some locks from his first cut, as well as a certificate commemorating the event. It wasn't anything dramatic, but it certainly gives him a cleaner look.
Nice hair cut Cruzie. Hope the next one will be a more pleasant experience. We like your chubby cheeks.
