Say "Ahhh"

We have been feeding Cruz for some time now. For the most part, we have been making our own baby food, using our Beaba Babycook. Part of our weekly routine involves going to the farmer's market, picking out a fresh vegetable or fruit, and then preparing it for Cruz. It really isn't all that difficult and we feel pretty good that we know where the food is coming from.

That being said, we have on occasional used premade babyfood. There is something to be said about the convenience and portability. Since it's canned, it doesn't have to be frozen or in the fridge prior to being opened for the first time.

While Cruz initially began eating solids with some trepidation, for a while he began eating with some gusto. As of late though, he figured out how to purse his lips and prevent the spoon from entering. Maybe he doesn't like what's on the menu...

(On the side, you can see that father and son are ready for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Go Red Wings!!!)

  1. I think he actually shuddered after swallowing that bite.

  2. Maybe when Cruz is a little older he can take over for Don Eng's son as the little helper at the Ferry Building Farmer's Market!

  3. You must have used the tangy granny smith apple to get that reaction. Next time use the delcious apple which has a sweeter taste.

Father and son look good with the red wings shirts.

Good luck on the apple sauce. Babies usually favor that taste.
