What is happiness to a 2 year-old? For Cruz it must be "shrimp chips" and watching a TV. Yes, if Cruz could have it his way, he'd be a couch potato.
Lolo and Lola came to town to help us out when I was doing a 16 day stretch of working without a day off. For this visit they elected to stay at a hotel located close to our city's downtown. So one time after Cruz' music class, everyone (except me since I was working), trekked over to their hotel room.
Sue is still amazed how for about 45 minutes Cruz was silent with the only sounds that he was making were those of the crunches coming from his stuffed mouth. We rarely allow Cruz to watch TV so whenever he gets the chance it's certainly a treat. But usually he's either complaining that he wants to watch commercials and not the actual show/sporting event, or that he's tired of the commercials and wants to go back to the show/sporting event. This time however, he was quiet.
On another note, Whitney has turned from Little Miss Scowl to Little Miss Sunshine. She's way more socially engaging now, rewarding you with a cute little smile.
She's also over 2 months old now. And when she had her two month check-up she came in at over the 90%-tile across the board. She's our little Buddha Baby.
Funny how both Cruz and Whitney have little Buddha bellies!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pleasure to spoil our grandchildren especially Cruz at this age. He loves treats that normally his parents won't give him. He eats them with gusto. But we are impressed with his self control and he obliges with his parents rules. He is a good boy.
ReplyDeleteWith Whitney at this age---how we love to hold her and kiss her chubby cheeks. When she smiles it really melts our hearts. She is a cutie pie! Lolo and Lola love you both.
Love Whitney's hair!
