There is a lot of happenings in the recent past in the Kim/Cortez household. We recently went on a week-long sailing trip with our friends to the British Virgin Islands. We will post some photos from that trip as soon as we upload them. Cruz got to spend the entire week with his grandparents in Los Gatos since he would not be able to tolerate that long flight (or I guess I should say that we and other people on the plane would not be able to tolerate Cruz on that flight) and I don't think he would have done well on the confined space in the boat. That being said, we did see a lot of kids on other boats, so maybe next time! Cruz had a great time with his Lola and Lolo and didn't seem to miss us much!
Cruz is now starting to express himself a lot more now. He is repeating a lot of the words and sounds we make. He is now starting to mimic animal sounds (meow, arf in a high pitched way, quack) and says, "uh-oh" a lot even when he's not causing trouble. It's been so fun helping him develop his vocabulary. He definitely also understands a lot more than we think too. We sometimes have to be careful what we say in front of him!
