A-G-E

No, the title of this blog entry is not an allusion to Sue's recent birthday (Happy Birthday, Mommy!). Instead, it refers to the latest malady that has recently affected poor Cruz.

The pediatricians reading this will know that A.G.E stands for Acute GastroEnteritis. For the laypersons reading this, that translates to vomiting (and diarrhea).

Cruz took his 5 o'clock snack of bananas, only to shortly throw-up afterwards. In the past he has gagged on things (particularly bacon), and then thrown up. But this time it was without much warning.

We fed him a yummy dinner consisting of french fries, fish and a little bit of pasta and then started to put him to bed. The first part of his bed routine is for him to drink some milk. Well, he drank some... and then promptly threw up all over my shoulder only to have it drip down my back.

Cruz wasn't too happy from that point on, though for a short while he did entertain himself by smearing around the vomit on my shoulder.

A short bath later and he was ready for bed. But we're hoping he makes it through the night okay and that diarrhea doesn't come. Because then that would start a whole other entry about diaper rashes...

In the meantime, here's a picture of Cruz at a recent holiday party:
