On March 6th Cruz officially became a Christian when he got baptized. Both sides of the family flew out for the occasion. We selected our sisters to be his godparents.
Cruz behaved throughout the whole ceremony. During the priest's dialog about baptism, its components and the symbolism behind them, Cruz was quite attentive. He kept looking at Fr. Walsh, then to us, then back to Fr. Walsh again. When it came time for the big moment, I think he thought he was just having a bath (which he loves), except with colder water. He didn't cry or fuss.
It was having both sides of Cruz' family come together. In fact, it was the first time since our wedding, 3 and a half years ago. Hopefully not as much time will pass before the next occasion.
