Cruz overtakes Mommy

Cruz officially is more adventuresome with food than his mom.

As many of you know, Sue doesn't have the most adventuresome of palates. She won't eat "shellfish or crustaceans" solely due to the idea of eating them, not because she doesn't like how they taste. In fact, she doesn't know how they taste because she's never tried them. She says that she doesn't like pork. (Though she'll gladly eat your pork chop if you order one.) She won't order calamari on her own. She has never tried tuna salad. And it was only recently that she started to eat mushrooms in limited quantities.

Cruz, on the other hand, will eat all of the above.

Now Cruz may not be the best eater. We struggle sometimes to make sure that he eats enough, but we offer him a variety of foods and we're often surprised with what he ends up liking. For instance, Cruz loves scallops. He gobbles them up. We'll chop up mushrooms and he'll eat it them. And just yesterday, it seemed like he couldn't get enough tuna salad.

So while he might not eat as much as we'd like, Cruz' palate is always willing to give things a try.
